| NIKON D3x: The new D3x has arrived in force. CESCO recently held a day's exposition of this marvelous new camera - it raises the mega-pixel count to 24.6 for a camera that can serve as the prime mover of any studio. Advertising, fashion, architecture - there is no-thing that this camera cannot tackle - and with the great low light performance of the D3 series it can cope with any natural light. This camera is available for inspection right now so bring in some memory and take home the best images you have ever taken. Your clients will thank you.

|
| ILFORD FILM AND CHEMISTRY: The Student Season is open - bag limit is two per day....no,just kidding. CESCO fully supports our new photographers with a full range of ILFORD film, paper, and chemistry. ILFORD works and works well - always has done - and students can buy with confidence knowing that their results will be consistent. |
| LASTOLITE: A lot of photographers use a reflector in their field work to throw useful light into the shadows left by harsh Australian sunlight. They also use them to shade faces and figures when the light is too directional. Up to now the standard round reflector has been held by light stands, tripods, and harried assistants. Now it can be managed by the photographer alone - no need to shout out instructions as you try to frame the shot. The LASTOLITE TRIFLIP incorporates a sturdy handle at the apex of rounded triangle - you use it like a giant paddle to manage your light. Like all LASTOLITE items it fold into a tidy round bag. Come in and try one.

| EPSON: Camera Electronics is now an EPSON pro graphic stockist. We will be supplying the wide format 4880 and 3800 printers as well as compatible inks and papers. If you need a portable media reader or storage device come in and see the new EPSON P6000 and 7000 in stock. The screen displays are brilliant.

| GLANZ LIGHT TENTS: These are really light cubes - mini studios that let you evenly light small - or not so small - products in a controlled manner. Three sizes - the 40cm, 80cm, and 120cm cubes allow jewellery, models, china, fashion items, wine, and many other products to be illustrated smoothly with little setup time needed. In the case of these tents you just unzip them and stand back as they pop open. There are accessory coloured background cloths included with each kit. Prices are low - $70.00 - $120.00 - $210.00. Just the answer for the busy illustrator. |
| PUT THAT IN YOUR POCKET!: Grabba FUJI compact this month and head for your holiday! The two good lookers are the Z200fd at $399.00 and the Z20fd at $249.00. The latter comes in a variety of fashion colours.

|
| THE WET SPOT: For all those photographers who have wanted to go down to the sea in ships, or down to the beach in bathers...and have wanted to take their expensive DSLR's with them...we have the answer. DICAPAC have produced a waterproof camera case that fits even large DSLR's (and we have seen one swallow a Canon 1Ds Mk111) and proofs them down to 5 metres. This is also great if your camera has to work in a moist atmosphere or has to be wiped clean before use. All normal controls are accessible. And at $149.00 we can all go to the beach.
If we are going to take our compact digital camera the DICAPAC compact bag at $69.00 is just the thing. SAme 5 meters, smaller pac.

|
| THE WETTER SPOT: And we cannot forget that PENTAX has also produced a dedicated waterproof compact - the W60. Fear no beach. Sand will no longer signal the end to your camera! $449.00

|
| SLIK TRIPODS: The new stand of SLIK tripods in CESCO has proved very popular with those photographers out to steady the camera without breaking the bank. For a good sturdy set of legs look at the 300DX in metal - $199.00 - or the carbon fiber PRO814CF at only $450.00. There a full range of SLIK heads on the rack as well at attractive prices.

|
| ERNEST'S PHOTO TIP: Our senior technician would like to remind our customers that they can get better service and longer life out of the ball heads and three-way heads on their tripods if they take it easy - do not over-tighten these items. The threads on the heads and the ball surfaces can be damaged by excessive pressure. Just tighten enough to secure the camera - don't try for stone-like rigidity! |
| CAPTURE ONE: The answer to RAW processing on a large scale. Call in and ask Catherine to explain the marvels of this program. Alternately, she can come to visit you for training on your computer. Just give her a call and arrange an appointment. |
| RUN OUT TAMRAC - HELP SAVE A SHOP ASSISTANT...: Our stocks of TAMRAC bags and packs are stored on a very high shelf and sometimes they tip over and fall on the shop assistant's heads. You can help to prevent this by purchasing our run-out specials:
- CYBERPACK EXPRESS
- CYBERPACK 9
- CYBERPRO FLYER
- EXPEDITION 8....RRP $299.00 but you can get one for $199.00 if you mention this newsletter!
Please buy one of the 8's. Magnificently built but they really hurt when they hit....

|
| MANFROTTO TRIPOD BAGS: Did you know that the MANFROTTO people make a great MBAG80P to hold their tripods? The great part is the shape of the bag at the head end is flared out and reinforced so as to accommodate even their 3-way heads. You don't have to haul your tripod in a Woollies plastic bag or let it get beat to pieces on the floor of the car - you can carry it like a professional.

|
| PRICE RISES: Well, they do. And they have. If you want to buy something SONY or NIKON now is the time.
Do yourself a favour - buy now. Your images and your bank balance will thank you...and so will we.
PLEASE NOTE! We have just a few extra NIKON D700 camera bodies - they are being held at $3,600.00 for a short period of time. The new RRP is $4,450.00 so this is your chance to save yourself $850.00! Hurry..... |
