A month devoted to the electromagnetic phenomenon that makes our art possible.
Camera Electronic sells you things you can use to generate light, to record it, to modify it, and bend it every which way. We do not claim to be the suppliers of sunshine, but even there we can help you use it efficiently.

We have been dealing in photo illumination for over 50 lightyears, which is an awfully long way to travel to work each day...
Note that some photographers have never bought a light in their lives. Henri Cartier-Bresson was famous for rejecting artificial illumination in his 35 mm work. He was quite dismissive, regarding the use of flash akin to pulling a pistol at a party. I've been to parties where a revolver would have been a comfort, but HCB was good enough with his timing and vision to just use available light.
Others shine as many sources of illumination as they can afford. Some studio workers say they only need one strobe or solid light. They bounce off reflectors, peer into gloom, and I suspect them of riding the shadow slider a lot.
Some have something plugged into every socket in the place. Guilty, Your Honour, and not penitent at all. While the studio circuitry holds up I let the lights show the camera what I want it to see.
