From the red dirt of the Kimberley to the urban energy of Perth and the majestic Karri trees of the southwest, Western Australia is a place of contrast, light, beauty, and unique stories.
Head On Photo Festival is proud to announce WA Life, a new photography competition dedicated to documenting the essence of life in Western Australia.
We are looking for work reaching beyond ‘the postcard.’ Whether it’s street photography, portraiture, landscape, or conceptual, we want to see your interpretation of life in the West.
Winners will be announced on Saturday 31 January 2026 at the launch of Head On Photo Festival Perth, Northbridge Piazza 6-8pm.
The judges: Tace Stephens, Connie Petrillo, Moshe Rosenzveig OAM, David Dare Parker & Martine Perret
The prizes: All finalists get a professionally printed exhibition print of their photo.
The Winner receives $1,500 cash; the Youth winner and two runners-up each receive a $500 voucher from Camera Electronic.
