Despite its compact size, the lens delivers impressive optical performance through a sophisticated 15-element, 13-group construction, incorporating three SLD and three aspherical elements to help achieve high resolution, clarity and consistent sharpness throughout the zoom range. The bright f/2.8 maximum aperture at the wide end, combined with a 9-blade rounded diaphragm, provides excellent low-light capability and attractive, natural-looking bokeh.

With a minimum focusing distance of just 15.8cm at 28mm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.3 at 35mm, the 20-60mm offers impressive close-up capability for added creative flexibility. A robust dust- and splash-resistant construction provides confidence when shooting in challenging conditions, while high-speed autofocus delivers fast and precise performance for both stills and video.
