ZY Play App Functionality
Download the ZY Play app for your iOS or Android device and you can unlock the gimbal’s full potential. Once paired, you can use the Smooth 4 to control your phone’s camera settings. Change things like exposure, ISO, white balance, and shutter speed all without touching the screen. You can easily switch from shooting video to stills, or choose other settings like full-auto mode.

Dual Action Follow Focus and Zoom Wheel
On the unit’s side, you’ll find a large dual-purpose follow focus wheel, the first of its kind for a gimbal. It lets you smoothly pull your focus from one object to another for an amazing cinematic look. Tapping the FN button switches the knob into zoom control mode so you can get up close or put a little distance between you and your subject.

Ergonomic Controls for Easy Operation
Along with the new follow focus knob, the Smooth 4 has a revised control panel for a more intuitive experience. A dedicated switch lets you change gimbal modes easily, without having to cycle through menu options. A trigger button gives you quick action mode changes. Start filming in one mode, hold the trigger down to access another, then let it go to return to your original shooting mode. This allows you to capture two different gimbal movements in one take.

Vertigo and POV Orbital Shot
Among the filmmaker style functions provided by the gimbal is the Vertigo Shot which helps you replicate the dolly/zoom effect. POV orbital shot allows you to capture footage from your own point of view, giving your audience a first-hand look at the action.

Time Lapse Modes and Object Tracking
Other supported features include Slow Motion, Freestyle Time Lapse, Motion Lapse, Time Lapse, and Hyperlapse. These modes let you control the flow of time in your videos so you can choose the perfect speed for each scene.
