The Sony FX2 is the latest addition to Sony’s renowned Cinema Line, bringing full-frame cinematic performance to a compact, lightweight body ideal for solo shooters, documentarians, and run-and-gun filmmakers. Despite its small size, the FX2 delivers powerful imaging tools found in higher-end cinema cameras.
At the heart of the FX2 is a 33-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor, designed to capture incredibly sharp 4K imagery with superb low-light performance and reduced noise. With dual base ISO settings of 800 and 4000, the FX2 offers incredible exposure flexibility, whether you're shooting in daylight or low-light environments.
Enjoy over 15 stops of dynamic range, preserving highlight and shadow detail even in high-contrast scenes. The FX2 supports S-Log3, S-Cinetone, and user-imported LUTs (up to 16) for flexible color grading and monitoring workflows.
For high-end production workflows, the FX2 outputs 16-bit RAW via HDMI, enabling advanced color correction and finishing when paired with compatible external recorders.
Built-in desqueeze display options (1.3x and 2.0x) allow accurate monitoring and framing when using anamorphic lenses, eliminating the need for external tools.
The integrated AI processing unit enhances autofocus precision, subject recognition, and tracking—even in challenging environments—making the FX2 ideal for solo operators and dynamic subjects.
Sony’s Dynamic Active Stabilisation offers gimbal-like smoothness without extra gear, perfect for handheld shooting on the move.
Capture high-resolution stills instantly during video recording, without interrupting your workflow. The FX2 also introduces Log Shooting for Stills, offering JPG or HEIF formats with extended dynamic range and cinematic color tone.
A 90-degree tiltable EVF offers flexible viewing angles, while the BIG 6 home screen interface delivers fast, intuitive access to key settings via a large touch display.
