Haida NanoPro Black Mist Variable ND filters offer 1.5 to 5 stops that incorporates a 1/8 layer of mist coating. The filter darkens the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally possible to reduce the depth of field or extend shutter speeds to increase image blur. When shooting video content, it allows for finer control of frame rate, exposure, and depth of field. The degree of density is controlled by rotating the front filter ring, which offers numbers representing the different stop values and haptic feedback clicks when reaching a number. The added 1/8 mist density reduces the look of digital sharpness and enhances light bloom without sacrificing overall image quality. Made of NanoPro multi-coated optical glass, this filter is perfect for video and portrait photography.
