EIZO EX4 Color Calibration Sensor

With the Eizo EX4 Colour Calibration Sensor you always have a perfect colour reproduction on your Eizo ColourEdge monitor. The sensor measures a number of colours on the screen and then lets the ColourNavigator software compile a profile that colour management uses as a reference for the monitor.

Operation Colour Calibration Sensor
As part of the hardware calibration, deviations in colour and brightness are first corrected. The software then creates a profile in which the information about the current colour settings is transmitted to the computer. It is advisable to perform this calibration regularly to ensure that the display of your monitor remains constant.

Measurement Method
The colourimeter EX4 is connected to the USB connection of your Eizo ColourEdge monitor. The ColourNavigator software then projects a series of colour planes onto the monitor, which are measured by the EX4. For example, the software checks whether the colour reproduction of your monitor is still correct or whether it needs to be adjusted. If a correction is needed, it will be automatically performed in the Look-Up Table (LUT) of your ColourEdge monitor. Next, a new colour profile is created that passes on the current setting to the colour management function of your PC.

Monitor Without Integrated Calibration Sensor
If you have a monitor without an integrated sensor, this requires an external calibration sensor such as the Eizo EX4, which, together with the ColourNavigator calibration software, compares the actual display on the monitor with the display assumed by the PC.
