Shimoda Mirrorless Core Unit - S25

The Shimoda Mirrorless Small 25 Core Unit was built specifically for our narrower 25L backpack sizes. Along with the XS25 and L25, the S25 offers modular carry options for users of Shimoda's 25L packs. When oriented vertically, the S25 links up with the side access of all Shimoda 25L packs. When turned horizontally, the S25 matches the width of Shimoda's 30L packs The S25 lets you carry a wide range of focal lengths and is a perfect fit for most "trinity" 2.8 lens kits. The side-access port means you can set up your gear configuration to have quick and easy access to a mounted body and lens without needing to put your pack down. This is especially convenient in challenging and uneven terrain, or for wet environments where you need to keep your pack on your body.

We call them Core Units simply because they’re the Core of the Shimoda system. Their modular versatility lets users customize their gear carrying needs with different sized camera inserts for different days, and to get more out of their backpack. The Mirrorless S25 carries what we consider the essentials, but swapping out for one of the other two 25-series Core Units gives you the ability to make a 25L pack "bigger" or "smaller" just by changing to a different Core Unit.

• MIRRORLESS/DSLR CAMERA FIT - Shimoda Mirrorless-depth Core Units fit non-gripped mirrorless and DSLR cameras up to 12cm tall. The shorter depth leads to a lower profile with your backpack.
• QUICK SIDE CAMERA ACCESS - When oriented vertically, the S25 Core Unit integrates seamlessly with the side access in all of Shimoda's 25L backpacks. When oriented horizontally, it will fit in larger Shimoda backpacks and rollers.
• NARROW WIDTH - The ML-25 Series Core Unit is specifically designed to fit inside the Action X25, Explore 25 and Urban Explore 25. Both pack and Core Unit are narrower than our larger packs 30L and above. Using a narrower 25L kit allows a more agile pack for more action intense adventure and also a better fit for users with a narrower and smaller torsos.
• LIGHTWEIGHT WATER-RESISTANT & MULTI-PURPOSE SKIN - The included Skin’s primary function is a storage case for the padded Core Units, ideal for when your gear is at home and not in use. It keeps the Core Unit sealed and dust free. Its secondary function is to use as a packing cell. A user can fill it with clothing or other common items and pack it in their backpack or carry-on roller.
• EVA PROVECTIVE SHELL AND DIVIDERS - Walls and dividers are constructed with EVA which ensures much greater protection than cheaper PE foams used in most camera bags. With EVA we have greater control over the density and quality of materials used to protect your gear. It also means our walls can be thinner and use less internal volume while still providing superior protection.
