Shimoda Side Country 32 Starter Kit - Black/White

The Shimoda Side Country 32 Starter Kit is designed for mountain travellers who prioritize “adventure over admin”. The packs are focused on efficient performance in the field so creators can capture beautiful moments in fleeting conditions, landscapes and light, all without carrying any more weight than necessary. As part of Shimoda's Side Series collection, the Side Country can fit Shimoda's Small, Medium or Large Top Loader inserts, allowing users to pack only the camera gear they need, while still having enough room for backcountry essentials in a sleek lightweight mountain camera pack. The system is modular and offers multiple use case scenarios in one package. You can use the modular Top Loader insert for protection inside the backpack, or use the Top Loader on its own as a Shoulder Bag or Sling, or attach it to the backpack's belt as a Hip Pack. The system offers a multitude of options to meet a diverse set of shooting styles and situations.

• MODULAR TOP LOADER CAMERA INSERTS (Starter Kits includes a medium Top Loader Bag) - All Side Series backpacks use our Shimoda Top Loader camera insert system. Top Loaders come in 3 sizes (S, M, L) and can be used inside a backpack as the camera insert or on their own as a Sling/Shoulder Bag, and can also be used with the backpack’s waist belt as a Hip Pack. Side Series packs can be easily adapted to different shooting scenarios with one modular system.
• SIDE ACCESS - Side Series backpacks have exclusively side camera access. The side-port allows access to any Shimoda Top Loader insert size (small, medium or large). Side-only access allows the backpack to be much lighter weight, while also providing quick-access to the gear.
• REMOVABLE 16" PADDED LAPTOP SLEEVE - To allow the pack weight to be even lighter, the padded sleeve (fits up to 16" laptop) is removable. Side Country is a stripped-down, lightweight mountain backpack. The removable sleeve ensures the pack is not carrying extra weight and bulk in the mountains, but can still protect a laptop when necessary.
• SHIMODA'S SIGNATURE CAPTURE STRAPS - Compatible will all brands of camera clips, with the added comfort of padding behind the clip. Straps feature a zippered phone pocket that fits an iPhone Max, plus an expandable accessory pocket for gadgets that can also hold a water bottle. They include hidden routing for a 2-way radio speaker/mic which you can also use for a water bladder hose.
• LIGHTWEIGHT WATER-REPELLANT RECYCLED SHELL, PLUS RAIN COVER INCLUDED - In addition to including a removable rain cover for the heaviest wet weather days, the Side Series uses Cordura re/cor RN66 fabric: a durable, lightweight nylon made from reclaimed pre-consumer waste materials that have been recycled into high quality yarns. The manufacturing process creates 83% fewer greenhouse gas emissions, uses 82% less energy and 57% less water than comparable nylon textiles.
